Introduction
CHARLIE'S CHARTS are a series of six cruising guides covering the following areas:
- British Columbia coast from Victoria north to Alaska's Glacier Bay
- US Pacific Coast from Seattle to San Diego (including the Channel Islands)
- The western coast of Mexico including Baja and the Sea of Cortez
- Costa Rica
- Polynesia (east of 165 W. Longitude) plus Niue (also a French translation)
- A Prairie Chicken Goes to Sea is the story of the creation of Chrlie’s Charts and Margo Wood’s autobiography.
The purpose of each guide is to assist a cruising sailor to identify anchorages and towns and river entrances where marinas are located. To assist in finding needed services ashore, facilities are described giving information such as the location of Port Captain's offices, fuel docks, laundromats and grocery stores. The drawings are not to be used for navigation for they are intended to be used only as a supplement to official US, British Admiralty and French charts. The use of official charts is mandatory for safe
navigation and CHARLIE'S CHARTS and Polymath Energy Consultants Ltd. are in no way responsible for loss or damages resulting from the use of these cruising guides.

"The strength of these down-to-earth guides are the late Charles Wood's illustrations-- detailed annotated maps of waterways and anchorages, accompanied by elevation sketches of critical harbor entrances, passes and the like as you'll see them on your approach."
